This wet maavu kolam was put in midnight , since next day morning was my grandson's 3rd year Aayush Homam function. No time to search for Kaavi, so mixed red liquid food color( my daughter has supplied) with the white wet maavu and put the red outline. Next time I'll put kaavi with Ms paint like Indira.

Wow that's cute padi kolam. I started using red food color nowadays. I was told by Judy that u do this when u were in singapore.

My daughter makes color powderby mixing ricepowder with liquid food colors ( her daughter sahana helps her in mixing and drying the powder)She only forced me to take one full set of liqiudfood colors from S'pore last year. I am yet to open the other colors.
