Beautiful madam! I see that you've borrowed some of your own designs from your old collections. I do have one question, oodha is purple or violet. Is "Kathripoo" color the same as what people call Oodha. Back home, I would ask my mom for certain technical words (the words I'm weak at). :)

Lata,Purple is darker version of violet, I think. This is December poo color( one which blosssoms during december time, paper like without smell).I love this color very much.We call it kathripoo color also. Sorry mOhanaji.... here is the translation.. Is the violet flower whinking/blinking? No place to put big kolam, in terrece wind is taking away the kolam, inside the house white floor so no chance to put wet rice maavu kolam, so I borrwed Brinda madam's color powder, Lakshmi madam's netdesign and tried to put this. Howisit?

Ma'am! At the first sight, I thought it was a stencil rangoli. Giving it a second look I was astonished. What a perfect symmetry and neatness! I'm loving it!!!

Excellent rajammaji.. seems like you got hold of a big blue carbon paper and traced the design and just drew it ... cos the symmetry is so well maintained... your par excellence in ideas!!!

Thank u all for ur nice comments. It encourages me to look for new, novel ideas. mOhanaji, I am realy lucky to get a poem on my kolam from u. Nice ryming words. One small correction, instead of 'medaavi' you can put 'kolapayithyam'.. that will be apt. Jaya, Neel said" Wah! nice! paatti, daddy will scold you for putting color podi on the floor."because just then I scolded him for scratching the floor with color pen.

Hello mam, this is exactly opposite in colour combination and looks awesome. All the lavender flowers are blossoming and attracts us like a magnet. I liked the filling style and the intrecacy work very much.
