This is simply marvellous! Using one type of flower for each circular layer is a very good idea. More importantly leaving the last one bare creating an illusion as if a circle exists inside the corner borders is a very creative thought. If only the small kankAMbaram hexagon could have been an octagon..., o well, who cares? Regards! - mOhana

Traditional Pookkalam for onam used to be like this only-one type of flower for each round. Start with a ring of 'thuba poo' on Hastham day for Ganesha and keep adding a circle daily, end with a big circle for Uthradam. On Thiruvonam there won't be any pookkalam but only a Mahabali!
