Good idea madam!
I have a suggestion for you all (not just for this artist).
Draw part of a rangOli, say 1/6 if it has six-fold symmetry.
Many of the lotus type of rangOlis have this. Or draw 1/4
of a rangOli. Many of the square ones have these. Take
two vertical mirrors and place them at 60 degrees for the first
and at 90 degress for the second. Then you have the whole rangOli,
the original part and the reflected ones. Take a picture of
that and post here. I'll be glad to view it :-) That means
you're drawing the rangOli as a kaleidoscope!
