Here is a dIpAvaLi rangOli. It has three types of lamps - hexagonal, triangular and oval. Incidentally, each type represents the type of symmetry in that area. Enjoy!

mOhanaji, thanks for the detailed drawing to explain the different symmetries, putting them in the appropriate places. Yes In my dancing flower rangoli recently , I put them with out knowing it.( but correctly I think) .
