Thirukkural
Do you have a favorite Thirukkural couplet? Want to tell us about it?
I like to talk about the kurals that I can live by, or the ones that have helped me, guide me, over the years.
One of my favorite is;
காலத்தி னாற்செய்த நன்றி சிறிதெனினும்
ஞாலத்தின் மாணப் பெரிது
Verse 102 A kindness done in the hour of need may itself be small, but in worth it exceeds the whole world.
I'm sure all of us have experienced this in our lives, in some way or the other.
Update:
1. When you post a new kural, please post it as a new topic. This will facilitate discussions/comments around that kural, if any.
2. The posted kurals in tamil text will be highlit differently. Mouse over the tamil text to see the translation. The translations are courtesy of Project Madurai.

Lata, Kurals are simple but carry lot of meanings!
Whenver I hear a death news this kural come to my mind immediately!
நெருநல் உளனொருவன் இன்றில்லை என்னும்
பெருமை உடைத்திவ் வுலகு.
Meaning:One was yesterday not today! This is a pride to this earth!
