On Onam day I put this small pookolam. The one with dried flower petals are just for the taste.

The Big Lamp is my mother's called Vazhaithandu vilakku( becase the middle portion resembles Banana tree stem) famous in Kerala.We consider the Velakku as DEVI and do pooja with lots of flowers, called 'BagavathiSeva'.
Ofcourse other decorations are done on ordinary days.
Since Padikolam club is increasing in size I put this wet maavu padikolam with 'Heart" design to express my love for all the members!Just waited for this to dry, took poto and immediately the rain washed it away.
Lata your caption only tempted me to put desiner kolam with colors.and here is one more rangolam.I have copied Purni style of coloring and bordering it.
Vinayaka chathurthi pooja flowers I could not waste so tried this pookolam with dry flower petals.
after seeing Subashini's green kolam I put this one with Coconut, manjal Vettrilai, paaku pazham and poovu.( dotted kolam ..13 -7 inbetween dots).
Pushpaji, see since the maavu was very watery I could not draw this neatly.
This is another simplest padikolam put in a hurry on Vinayaka chathurthi day with wet maavu and pink color kavi.
