easy kolam for those who are just learning to draw kolams...
inspired by Lakshmiraghu's rangoli on water, I attempted my first rangoli on water, though it was not a big success as the powder kept getting wet and sinking in (dont know where i went wrong) i decided to upload a pic i had taken on my mobile just so that the experts can give me tips on how to make a better one next time.
and this is the final output once the four designs are combined to be woven into a saree.
Lata i just thought i'd load one of the designs i made for a silk saree that was selected by a co-op society in salem and woven into a silk saree (as i said did not get to see it after it was done boo hoo hoo)...
i will load the different parts of the saree that are designed on one page and then one picture after it is combined to make the saree...
the different parts of the saree design are the side border, the pallu border, the pallu design and the body design.
dots 13 - 13
This kalasam (hope I am correct) kolam can be drawn for occasions such as a wedding, grihapravesh etc, I have drawn this kolam in such a way to show how the dots are connected just for those who don't understand - whereas actually it should be drawn in continuation to cover the dots - hope you understand what I am trying to say.
dots 11 - 1
Another one of my favourites which I am sharing here with my ikolam friends.
