Rangoli: Challenge Kolam

45 years ago, when I was in school, my sister used to challenge me that I must draw this kolam without referring after starting! Now, I start my Margazhi month with this one. I want all chikku kolam lovers to try this!

Rangoli: Chennai Meet-2010 kolams

Hear are a few ezhai kolams done by me at home to welcome ikolam members!
Thanks to Lata for collage tutorials!

Rangoli: Traditional padikolam

This kolam was drawn by my sister-in-law< Jayalakshmi Chandrasekar (also a member of ikolam) for my Daughter-in-law's seemantham.
(Seemantham is a tamil word for baby-shower).

Rangoli: Wall Rangoli

When all ikolam members were busy doing Margazhi kolams I was tied up with house painting. Our painter was kind enough to transform my favorite 'naga bandana' design on the portico wall and color it according to his choice! Here is the output waiting for your comments!

Rangoli: Wedding gift-teamwork of ikolam members

Here is the making of gift-pookkolam by ikolam members for my son's wedding!

Rangoli: Sandhya Raga

Lata had asked for 4 o'clock flower in one of the 'blue bell' entries. If she is meaning 'andhi mandarai' by it, here is a sample of it!

Rangoli: Kavitha's kai-vannam!

Having introduced Kamini, let me introduce Kavitha, my first daughter in law to all of you thro' ikolam. Kavitha is good at embroidery, knitting etc., and Iam presenting a sample of her recent embroidery here!

Rangoli: Naga and Shivalinga

When I see the topic of Nagabandhana by mOhanaji, I felt like adding my 'naga kolam' which fetched me a prize for the first time!
