- Kolam contest 2011- Dot grid
This kolam is a creation one of our ikolam members for this special day!
All of you can guess the name easily!
A copycat rangoli of an entry of Diwali 2008 contest by Darshamoola, fetched us a prize in our apartment Diwali contest this year. It was a combined effort of myself and my daughter in law Kavitha assisted by both husbands who took care of my grand daughter till we finished it! The bottom circle is the logo of our apartment which cosumed nearly an hour to draw and shade it!
Though this kolam was sent before Rathasapthami, it did not get uploaded so I am sending it again for you all to enjoy.
Normally chikku kolams are drawn with straight dots. But few chikku kolams esp., hexagon type chikku kolams are drawn with 'in between' dots. This is one such type of kolams which fascinates me. I remember to have seen this in our site but cannot recollect the name of the member.
Here is the dot grid for my kolam to the contest. It is 19 to 10 'in between' dots with extension of 3-2-1 around.
