general

Came across this contest from an old magazine(1987)which I want the enthusiastic ikolam members to try.

1)draw 4 lines with 3 straight dots each, with all the sides looking similar.
2) connect them(all the dots) with one single continuous line outside, all the sides looking similar.By doing so you will get a zig-zag puzzle like design.
3) make 9 such designs and combine them to get different pattern( 4 in numbers) in the gap.

It is easy and interesting.
want any clue or clarification will be given on request.

Mohanaji, I am happy that you have seen this.
I just translated the rules given in the Tamil magazine into English... may be it is not clear.
But to clear the doubts I have given some clues, in the comment colomns. I think you have not gone thru them.
Anirudhji has tried his version and in that I have clarified the doubts and repeated the clues.,in the comment colomn.

Sir,In the beginning itself I wanted to tell the members to go to your gallery and check similar patterns created by you.Since nobody, except Anirudh wanted to try this, I just left it there.

So Sir, for you to solve this is very very easy... like "JUJUBEE"

ADMINji, I could not upload the base design drawing thru cafe post since it says I have reached maximum space. So I have uploaded the same in the normal rangoli upload. Hope you will release it as early as possible. Thank you.
