Your comment made me chuckle for quite some time...just imagine working with Chaani to make a beautiful pentagon shaped raised mound to mount your petals for a rangoli --that would require an unimaginable amount of patience and willpower to stand the smell of cow dung!!
For the non-tamilians, chaani is cow dung which is mixed in with water to sprinkle over the wet-ground before making a kolam in villages. Nowadays, the practice of using cow dung hardly exists in towns and cities.

I had initially colored the chakra navy blue, but then I noticed that the spokes of the chakra in the design weren't visible clearly, so had to "make" some white space in between the spokes to make them visible. Thanks for the comment.
