I think posting of chikku kolams should not be withheld. It is really a treat to watch them posting new, big and beautiful kolams every day. I suppose that is what Margazhi month is about.

I dont think so chikku kolams should be banned, not saying because i am a great fan of chikku kolams. I think Rajamma mmam was commenting in a lighter sense and was not serious, yet this is my opinion, that i am not against posting of chikku kolams.

For friends who don't know something I needed to share this...for d past one month since Diwali I had planned to do all my big sikku kolams...for this Margazhi ...I have even arranged it in an order according to d size and shape and col to be used also....so now seeing this topic being raised....Bye to all of u until d contest ....see u all after d contest....anyways I will be sharing all my sikku kolams done during this period after d contest date comes to an end...

Friends , as my name has been figured in the above discussion i have to put forth my opinion:I always love to draw sikku kolams in my house.As i was attracted by ikolam site,which encouraged such kolams, i became a member and started uploading kolams; mainly sikku kolams .If friends felt otherwise i propose to stop uploading sikku kolams till the contest is over.But I will continue to draw sikku kolams in my house.Thank you..........................

Temporary Banned (Vinci from ikolam!!), frightened me as I was away for a couple of days.
As chikku kolam contest is announced, I feel chikku kolams uploads can be stopped for a while. Just to see a fresh bunch of chikkus in contest... Rani,Veni and Pushpa, I'm in No firing zone

yeah someway it takes all our collections.....but definitely would be a tough competition for us to come up with own design.....so its time to innovate :).....i am fine with either ways.

I too feel that posting of chikku kolams can be withheld for a while till the contest is over. After that ikolam site can be attacked by chikku virus! which we all love.

Hi freinds, I was also a part of that discussion in the referred node.

I always love to see all the chikku kolams uploaded by Rani mam and Veni mam and enjoy the beauty of their kolams. Since the contest was announced with the terms that one chikku kolam per member, I preferred let Rani mam and Veni mam wait (for uploading chikku kolams) until the contest comes to an end. Some people are very innovative in making new kolams, but I don't possess that much creative talent in making new kolams. I have some sikku kolams in my collection, but when u visit their gallery (Rani mam or Veni mam), most of them are already there and I'm left with only few kolams to do for the contest. (The same may be case for some members in I-Kolam). Otherwise I'm in a compulsion to re-do the same kolam which has been uploaded by them earlier. If that is the case, then the issue will arise that the said kolam is already been uploaded earlier and whether or not I'm qualified to take part in the competition.

I have said my views. I now leave it to others to decide. Rani mam and Veni mam, I'm really very sorry if I have hurted you in some way or the other. Really felt so guilty while reading the words "Bye to all of u until d contest ....see u all after d contest" in Rani mam's comment. I also seek apologise to other members of I-Kolam in case I have hurt your feelings.

Lata, I was busy for the past 2 days, colud not reply. I commented in a lighter sense and also wanted to know the feeling of others. Ikolam site without chikku kolam bpublished during this margazhi will be incomplete. The real Margazhi dew drops are white dottted chikkku kolams only.
A suggestion, let all members upload their entries(no restriction for the number of the entries) and Lata can find out another new way of voting for the best chikku kolam published during this month.
