Joojups alias Javvu mittai.
50 gms Gelatine {plain]
half kilo sugar
food colour and relevant essence.
Soak gelatine in half a cup water, stir till dissolved, do double boiling [Keep the melted gelatine in a vessel with water and boil th ewater so that gelatine will not get solidified]
Make sugar syrup with half a cup water and sugar, to soft ball consistency, add the melted gelatine, food colur and essence and keep stirring for 5 more mts, pour into a greased plate, tap the plate to release any bubble, keep it for 5 -6 hrs or keep covered for overnight. Make stripes, roll in castor sugar or grain sugar, then make small pieces. Rolling on sugar will help it to stay non sticky.
