AAM DAL
INGREDIENTS:cooked green dal-1 cup,chopped onions-1/4cup,chopped tomatoes-1/4cup,chopped ginger-1tspn,chopped green chilly-3nos.,chopped raw mango-1/4cup and salt.
METHOD
1. In a pan take 1tspn oil add mustard seed
2. add onion and fry till it turns brown
3. tomatoes,ginger,green chillies and mango fry till mango is cooked
4. add cooked dal and salt
5. cook till it turns to gravy.
This is very good sidedish for chappathi. kilimuuku mango is nice for this dish

Ordinary mango kadaikradhe kashtam, idhile kili-mookku kokku-mookku mangavukkellam enga poradhu?? :0
(I was just saying that it was hard to get even ordinary mangoes in our local Californian grocery stores, let alone the "parrot-nosed mango" variety that Malar is referring to in her recipe).
We'll try this with whatever variety that comes our way in May and let you know the results Malar.
