Sudha maam I second all that Anirudh has on his wishlist ... I think it would be better if it catered so that you also are free and the catering fee distributed among all members attending it ... this is just my opinion ... I am eagerly looking forward to being a spectator to the lovely happenings that are going to take place

The programme for 18th ikolam meet is as follows:
10.00 am Gathering
10.30 am Lighting the lamp and snacks.
11.00 am to 12.30 pm Demo on rangolis by the members
12.30 PM to 1.30 pm LUNCH
1.30 pm sharing each other skills and
4.00 pm a chat on rangolis
This is not fixed if you give any good ideas it will be surely considered. please let me know

Sudha, nice that you are in full enthu in organising everything nowitself.Regarding food, I prefer catering, because all have to undertake travel of minimum 1 hour. Is the meet going to be in Banashankari?
Regarding technics and Trends I think each one will contribute their knowledge. You have omitted Jayanthy... a verygood Art teacher who can demo of her art work. Who is willing to teach Photoshop?
Reg Purni, she confirmrd that she will come if her health is Ok at that time.
I am put up in Kundalahalli, (near Marathahalli) on the way to ITPL, so 10.30 START WILL BE OK FOR ME. ajamma

Rajamma maam, The meeting will be held in Banashankari III stage as i have mailed the address to everyone. It is really gifted to have all the legends of kolam in the meet. I will be very happy to learn kolams in photoshop. I have sent all the mails to Jayanthi maam regarding the meet and also i take this opportunity to invite her also to the meet. Regardign the food we shall wait for the others opinion also. is it not ??????????

ikolam's humble requests: It would be nice to have a small demo by Ms.Pushpa, showing how to make kolams using rice paste.

Learning is a continuous process and no age bar for that.
whether we know or not, it is better to have a demonstration of all varieties ( 1 kolam each) like
- with rice flour,
- with double strokes
-filling using filter
- developing a kolam in photoshop
- info about varieties of materials used for kolam either drawing or filling.
- and a what? why? how? session - mutual one-one discussion about kolams
- introduction about statewise/varieties of kolam's in INDIA. Finally concluding that ALL COLOURS LEAD TO WHITE i.e. WE ALL ARE ONE though from different parts .
This is my suggestion for all the MEET's. How do you feel Lata and other's.

Yes Sudha,
I am coming for the meet as I confirmed earlier. Leaving the food part to the caterer will be best I feel.{Andha oru naal let us all enjoy w/o thinking about the kitchen, what to do today etc.] We all will share the cost. I will bring my craft journal. I plan to demonstrate basic quilling and how to make a simple card with quilling. Okkkkaaaaayyyyyyyaaaaaa????????
In Bangalore meet, I would like to learn how to join 3 -4 small kolams together in a single upload like how Judy mam does.. Anyone pleeeaase......

Of course lata, as I have 5-6 years of experience in teaching, that is getting reflected. Thanks sudha for agreeing to photoshop demo. I have installed the software to my PC and started going through the help menu. I am very much eager to learn the usage of Photoshop for Rangoli's.
I also vote for Catering.Lets not worry about kitchen one day. We are meeting because of ikolam and the day should be for "ikolam" only. lets utilize each and every moment and all of us make that day as a MEMORABLE one. Lets C what others opinion is.
