uploaded Rangolis

vidyAjI namastE, From my experience I can tell you that it normally takes anywhere from 10 to 20 days or even more for the uploaded rangOlis to appear on the website. Some of the rangOlis I uploaded in January are appearing now. If it is a topical rangOli like birthday, Valentine's day, festivals like pongal or dIpAvaLi or some such thing, it will appear within a day. Otherwise, depending upon the number already in the queue, it will take its own time. My guess is that there are nearly 200 or more rangOlis already in the line. Normally about 50 to 60 are uploaded each week. So any rangOli uploaded today will see the light in about 15 to 20 days. In fact, it is a good idea not to upload more than one per day and have always only a single digit number in the line. That is the recipe to avoid unnecessary frustrations. We must follow bhagavadgItA in this regard. Our duty is to conceive, create, photograph and upload and then forget. It will certainly appear one day. Uploaded rangOlis are never rejected and so they always appear, sooner or later Let us also not forget this is only one activity in the admin's daily life. Otherwise, they have their own normal busy lives to lead.

Hi Vidhya, I do see 4 rangolis that you had uploaded (total). Whatever Mohanaji has mentioned is how things have been at ikolam, so far. We have many factors to consider. We have members who upload a few times a week (uploading one a day). We have some members who upload once a month, and they upload 20 at a time. Then we have members who visit the site only for occasions, and upload occasionally. We have new members joining every week, uploading rangolis too, and I can't keep them waiting more than a few days (not even a week), because they might not revisit. Atleast our regular members, or members who visit almost daily, know that their rangolis do get published. I'm trying to come up with a formula that will fit everybody's needs and will keep us all satisfied, but unfortunately, can't seem to have a one size fits all formula. I feel so frustrated, and the vacation that I took in January complicated things even more.

I'm glad there is more supply, but also know that, if we publish more than what we're publishing everyday, people are going to feel satiated.
