V2k, I think you've uploaded your rangolis in a different name, because I can't find any under your current name. Please check, and let me know.

Sudha, I didn't read any of this when I was in India. But, now that I've read it, I would say that you/anyone don't need my permission to set up any meet, at any place. Just let me know and I would provide the emails, do the preliminary work. We have a tentative plan to bring back the option of seeking out contacts on your own by clicking on the user's name (at the end of February). After that facility is provided, no one has to wait for ikolam staff to provide the email contacts.

Anirudhji, editing option will be provided in the near future.

Jayashree, thank you so much for your patience and understanding. There is an unspoken rule that I tend to follow here at ikolam. I don't think I've mentioned it anywhere in the site. When I publish kolams, my mind reads the names of the authors, and quickly "places them" in two categories; long term users, and, new users. I can safely say that long term users and I have established a working relationship, over time, and they understand that all of their submissions will get published, some of them a little late. Since they have been with us longer, they know a bit more about my lifestyle, my difficulties/limitations, through most of my posts and comments. And, the trust is mutual. What surprises me sometimes is the level of dedication of these members. Most of our long term users keep uploading rangolis in the queue, and never ask or email me about the reason for the delay. I hope they don't think that I'm taking their quietness for granted, because I don't.

On the other hand, our new users, are what the name suggests; New. They are not aware of the way our system works, yet. Most of our new users think that the uploads/display is automatic. They don't know that it is moderated. They upload a rangoli, and follow it up with an email, complaining that it doesn' show up in the site, and also about not finding their name in the gallery. These kind of emails/issues were taken care of on a timely manner, usually. But of late, I couln't do so because I was off on a vacation. I could only get very limited net access during my trip. This is exactly the reason why I published any new comer's rangoli on time, and chose to delay our long term users' rangolis. It also depends on the description given by the user. Do you remember the time your "rangoli made when my husband was away" got published. I remember publishing it as soon as I saw it - it got published the very next day. Timewise, your rangoli jumped the queue, because I thought you could use a bit of immediate appreciation, some cheering during those lonely times. It is nice to have the liberty to publish when I feel like it, isn't it?

Thank you all for your understanding, for your patience, for your support, and for the trust you place in the ikolam staff. All of your submissions will be published sooner, or a little later.

Strange. I don't see any problem at our end. Let's see if other people are experiencing the same issue.
