This is a free hand kolam.I did this using rangoli tube(Kuzhal ).red border added in photo shop.Your views and suggestions are welcomed..

Lakshmi,unless you tell we cannot guess that u have used kola kuzhal for drawing this.why the lines are not visible? Did you take more time or less than usual?Kuzhal or kai viral, your designs are unique.
( In the marriage the caterer took care of everything including kolam. So we sisters could not snatch that work from them. we had lot of flowers and collected it to put pookolam but it didnot materialise.
The Shshtiabdhapoorthi function(my brther and Jayanthy's), Mehandhi, sangeeth, Vratham, Kaappu kattal, engagement, reception, the marrigae, Nalungu and the sumangali prarthanai.. spread over 4 days made us so busy and we are yet to come back to normal life). The only thing missed inbetween is visit to ikolam)

Quite good, but in comparison with the other rangOlis, this pales a bit. Honestly, in my opinion, the red line has not added beauty to this. Are there special tubes that dispense such thin lines?

Rajamaji, Oh so busy... good think this should contiune till end of Jan, 2010. Hope some good new drawing in Chennai marriage ( Jayaji's son marriage ), This look less time .. after taking photo I also felt that lines not visiable. mOhanaji... thanks for your advice.. I will take care in future. At the end its orginary Kolam kuzal only used... when we seen directly we can view the lines, however in the photo its not appearing.

I must say that this is a much more simpler design when compared to your other designs Lakshmi - the kuzhal has given the effect of smudging and looks quite different....
