My tribute to Lakshmi's wonderful creations
About My tribute to Lakshmi's wonderful creations : PRINT
Everytime I saw Lakshmi's intricate patterns being uploaded, I would be tempted to copy one of them.. The only problem was time, as I knew that I would have to spend sufficient time to do atleast 50% justice to her work. Finally I have managed to try out one of her designed tablecloth patterns (http://ikolam.com/node/4764?p=1116) and hope I have not offended her with the end product.. LAKSHMI THIS IS MY TRIBUTE TO YOU AND HOPE YOU LIKE IT

To whom should "I" pay tribute, to that lady or to this lady? Very nicely drawn. You could have used a different colour for the lines.

What a gorgeous design Judy, love all those cute curls!
(Just a thought; looks like you celebrate Diwali a lot longer than you would celebrate Christmas?)

JUdy, You not only copied Lakshmi's kolam but also her patience and beauty of the kolam. Your kolam is an e-beauty. Hats off to your perfection and patience. I cannot imagine to do those circular 'r' inside the star shape. How many copy and pastes and rotates in this. really great. Lata is doing magic in chikku kolam and you are doing in this tyep.

Thanks a lot for your wonderful comments and encouragement friends - but for all of you I would have never been tempted to take this challenge.... Yes Lakshmi I did spend a very long time to complete this as I wanted to do maximum justice to your kolam... At one point I even wanted to discontinue as I was not sure I would be able to complete it properly. Rightly said Brindha, draw, copy, paste and rotates was the main command for this kolam as it had to be close to perfect.. Maybe as JKM said, I should have used a different colour for the lines... Next time.... Thanks once again all of you for your sweet words...
