Wishing all iKolam members and friends a very happy Diwali! It has become a tradition for us to host a Diwali rangoli contest to celebrate the festival, and so we welcome all the members of the iKolam.com community to participate in this event.

Dear ikolam admin,
Can you please send me details on how to upload the rangoli for the contest. I am unable to do so. I went through "create content", but it does not show the rangoli under the gallery.
Can you pl. confirm that you have got my entry.

Hi Ms.Swathy,
We've received 3 of your entries (1st was published already, and, 2nd and 3rd was uploaded by you today). But, all these are the same images, the last one being "AnnaPakshi in a Pushpaka Vimaanam" (the same bird with a couple of decorated plates placed on the sides). I'm not sure if the last one is for the contest (there is no way we could differentiate it from the usual Diwali rangolis, unless it is mentioned by the users, either in the content, or the title). Please follow the same procedures to upload contest-rangolis.
Try it again please.

Dear Contest participants,
If you had submitted a rangoli, and have not specified if that was meant for the usual display in the site, or for the contest, please do let us know. I had emailed some of you members, but am not having any luck hearing back. So, I'm going to hold back some of the Diwali rangolis and would display them in the contest page (going by my intuition at this stage). I would edit as and when I hear back. Please communicate either by commenting, or by emailing me. Thank you.

I didnot know we have to specify the rangolies for contest.If so take first kolam for contest.

Ms.Mythili, you have uploaded two rangolis, and you have not mentioned which one is for the contest. Please tell me which is for the contest (the square magenta one, or the Ganesha).Thank you.

Out of my two Rangoli's sent, the one in sqaure shape with diyas around is for Diwali competition and another one with ganesha is for others views and comments. thanks

Please use the "create content" link seen at the top of the right side menu options. Or, go to the following link, and follow the procedure.

It is the same procedure for any rangoli, just make sure to mention "contest" in the contest rangoli submissions. Let me know if you have trouble uploading. Thanks.

Ms.Jayashree, the current picture is what I had seen yesterday, and was wondering why you had wanted to change that, since it looked clear enough. But, now I realize that you couldn't see it because of the your settings.

Dear ikolam admin,
i have a small issue with my profile photo upload...i had uploaded this photo (the one that shows along my name in my profile) the first time and then found that the face is not that obvious so i tried deleting this and uploading a diff one but its not happening as in even if i delete this and upload a diff one the same photo comes up...somehow it looks like this photo is stuck with my profile...please help me out...

I see two possibilities that might help with your issue; a) please "submit" the page (option seen at the bottom of the page) once you've "deleted" the previous picture, and then attach the new picture. b)check and clear your cache settings.

Hi,

Hi Ms.Archana, the image is in the queue, and will be published after the entry date closes. The last date is Oct 30, so the contest entries would be published during the weekend. Thank you for participating in this contest as well.

I got it Ms.Hema. Rangolis would be published in the weekend. I am required to spend the day volunteering the whole day today in my kids' schools, helping the teachers with their Halloween party and parade. It is a once in a year thing.
I would get back to work in ikolam tomorrow. Thank you.
