Let's get romantic - Feb 14

February 14th! A day most romantic people look forward to. Many of you might exchange flowers, chocolates, and/or cards among yourselves. We have always felt a strong connection towards our ikolam community, and hope to spend Feb 14th with ikolam. So, got any love for us? We didn't plan on throwing any such trick questions, but in case you have some sort of "hearty" feelings towards us (us as in ikolam), then may be you might want to consider sharing it with all of us.

We know very well not to look inside a gift-horse's mouth, but, our brains just keep leaping forward with thoughts. Thoughts that just needs to get expressed, for the sake of learning. We were wondering about how challenging it may be to make Valentine chikku kolams. We have a good collection of freehand type of rangolis in this site that were shared by our member friends, but the chikku types happen to be a rare sight. Should we give it a try? Of course, we would also be interested in freehand and dotted type of rangolis as well.

Let's make a small change in the colors; I guess this year we can think about using red sparingly for Valentine's day, in case there is shortage. We've already talked about Chinese new year red snakes, so this is left to our members' choices of colors.

(Oh c'mon brain, make them ooze out more passion! Make them wear red even if their rangolis are going to be dressed up non-red colors. Even though you've yet to dish out the points for last year or so, they know that you'll keep track and add them all up sometime in the future! Won't you? |( :bigsmile: )

Well you could do anything you wish, Pushpa. It doesn't have to be chikku kolam. As Uma suggests, it could be a freehand design. Or, it could be in the form of anything you can "dish" out. :bigsmile: Anything given out of love, would be greatly appreciated. :love:
