Anirudh, I am so happy that you tried to solve this puzzle. But this is not the correct answer.
The rule says "Draw FOUR(4) lines of THREE(3) dots each."
The CLUE says the dots need NOT be kept in EQUAL distance.but should be in straight dot pattern, NOT inbetween dots.
The other clue is,once you connect ALL the dots with ONE CONTINUOUS line outside, youwill get a zigzaw puzzle like design which will be looking like a PINWHEEL, looking same in all the sides.(Some what similar to your answer)
And when your join NINE such designs, youwill get a different patterns in the four gaps.
Anirudh, I am sure if you foloow the clues you will definitely solve this puzzle kolam.
ALL the best!

Rajamma maam I am trying and trying to squeeze my small brains to bring out pattern using your clues that I think in few days I will become mad and will be seen in Nimhans just doing pinwheels all over   but nothing satisfactory has come up... so I admit I am a loser and give up J) J)
