Usually we keep the last date after Pongal, so I think you have plenty of time, in case the majority of our members express their interest in wanting a kolam contest this season.

Daily kolams are extremely good and that itself is a contest among various members. I'm not sure whether i have a voting right or not . but it is my opinion.
So far , ihave uploaded only 2 kolams and often visit the website and enjoy trying newones.

I wonder why you felt that your vote doesn't count!? This has nothing to do with the number of rangolis one posts. I hope you hadn't said that because of my delay in answering to the other post titled "Instant upload..."
Sometimes, I do take a few days to come back and respond. I like to give some time for our weekly visitors a chance to have their say as well. :bigsmile:

Glad to read your response . I did not say so because of delayed reply from your end. In fact I always love to see / hear the way indians settled abroad take time in keeping up the tradition . Hats off to your efforts

Since i have exchanged a few message a small intro about me. I am in kodambakkam, Chennai . My only daughter is in final year EEE and trying to pursue her masters abroad. she takes picts of my kolam and help to post the same.

I am a working person and drawing kolams is one of my favourite jobs.But due to time constraints and priorities i was away from the art. In fact, your website has pushed me back to my earlier habit and have started once again.

YES. Daily kolams are by themselves very lovely. Still we'll be able to see some rare gems of kolams if a contest is announced
