Thanks Sir! I was not aware of this day :). I think still British/French have the DD-MM-YYYY format & may be the countries which had the Bristish rule for sometime follows...our SQL Database format option shows as British.

Yes, the American way is to write month first and the day later. Driving on the right side, having the on switch up are some of the other things one has to learn after moving to the US. Personally I always write the above date like 02NOV11 in order not to have any confusion. Regards! - mOhana

Interesting to know about this. If it is in British style (as per Anirudh), then 11th Feb of 2011 would have been a palindrome day - 11022011 (DDmmYYYY).
