How to know whether a website is suspicious.

In these days of widespread malware injections, it will be nice to know whether a site is good or bad for our computer. There are many ways to do it. But two simple ways are: (1) There is a software called Web of Trust (WOT) that goes along with Firefox Mozilla. One can download and instal it. When we have this on the computer and use Firefox web browser, the site one visits is given a green, orange and red grading, with obvious meaning. (2) There is a site called websense.com . One can get a report of any site by typing its address here. Even a good website can at times be infiltrated by a malware. It is quite easy to detect such events. (By the way, ikOlam has a good report). Also it is highly recommended to have a good firewall such as Comodo or Zonealarm (both available freely). A good firewall together with an antivirus suite (like free Avira) and a malware detector like Mbam or Superantispyware will keep the computer reasonably safe. Regards! - mOhana
