Transliteration software
Dr Rekha Shetty was enquiring about the transliteration software for Indian languages. Most of the software is for particular languages. There are two general all purpose softwares for multiple Indic languages, as far as I know. They are (1) baraha and (2) azhagi. Both have unicode editors for many Indian languages. Baraha has a wordpad that can convert from one Indian language to another so that one can read any unicode text in any Indian language into one's language of interest, usually the mother tongue. In the earlier versions of baraha, this feature was free. In the latest version, this is not free (Its license is 40 dollars or 1200 rupees). But the basic edition is still free. I still use my older free version azhagi, while as versatile as baraha, does not have the conversion feature from one language to another. If any readers know of other utilities, please inform.
