Last week we had the 41st Mid-Atlantic Crystallographic Workshop at Frederick. Venky Ramakrishnan, the Nobel laureate, was supposed to have inaugurated the function. Since there was an illness in the family, he could not make it. There was a poster session last Friday. As a teaching aid for understanding symmetry, I presented a poster entitled "Crystallography for Fun - Knotty Beauties and Sona Patterns". I am just including the picture of the whole poster, as it appeared, for rangOli enthusiasts. Enjoy!

Wow! Looks pretty elaborate! Nice to see so many of these patterns arranged side by side as a visual aid. I'm sure this was appreciated by all of your "students". Wonder when do we get to hear the audio file Mohanaji.

Congratulation sir, i have never seen such a big poster organized so neatly .indeed a great job sir .I enjoyed a lot seeing different symmetrical designs though i don't have much knowledge on this particular subject

Wow...thanks for sharing this big poster jkm sir...although we have already seen almost all of d patterns .. the ones at d left hand side of d monitor r new...and also d last one at d bottom right side one ...let me check ur gallery...
