This is a photograph of a painting I clicked in a friend's house. He told me that it was done by an artist in the aananda vikaTan office, probably the same iLayarAjA (I cannot vouchsafe though). It is an early morning village scene with the temple tower and a woman decorating the front yard with kOlam and another carrying a water pot. Enjoy!

This is absolute torture! I was already quite homesick since the past few days as I missed a wedding back home (yet another one in the last few years). And to top it, Mohanaji posts a painting of the "same scene" that I had been thinking of - my grandpa's village and my favorite Vilvandi! Please somebody, take my car and give me a vilvandi! :0
