Yesterday was buddha jayanti. I am enclosing with this a picture of a buddisht temple in Tibet. You may see an extended 2x3 sOna pattern on the left and right flags. Enjoy!

Nice photo, JKM Sir. I also remember some Sona patterns in the Buddhist temple in Gangtok. Let me search and upload the picture:)

We could sense the holy, serene and peaceful atmosphere. I have admired this pattern seen on both sides as the Knot of Eternity or the endless knot.

This picture is from a power point show on Tibet by Ken Chan. After a later search, I found that this can be found if one searches for Jokhang temple. Jokhang temple is a buddhist temple in Lhasa, the capital of Tibet. Spiritual figures like the Dalai lama are crowned here in this temple. The reason for showing this is that these knotted patterns are found in different cultures and different countries. Is it not amazing that many people arrived at the same patterns in different ways? In that way, one can find "god" in such patterns too. Is it not?
