I think we should think about deducting some points from the owner's account in case of duplicate uploads. 
Also, the person who informs us of a repeat upload must get bonus points. Do you think that's fair? :0

Hmmm...duplicate uploads means uploading a kolam twice ah lata....or inspired by some other websites and trying exactly d same on our floor....

Duplicates are kolams that are images uploaded more than once (same design). I delete multiple entries made by an artist on a daily basis, that are uploaded twice or thrice. But, it is getting harder for me to remember and also not so easy for me to check back in the gallery if an image already exists (something I used to do when in doubt).

Yes, for example, Vinci just pointed out a duplicate entry by Vasanthi, and I just deleted it.

I think that is a good idea Lata but sometimes we will have our kolams stored and will not be aware which kolam we uploaded since we upload few of them at a time, so is it possible at least for the individual who posts the kolam to have a look at the kolams she/he has uploaded, is this possible. Something like perhaps a self-generated acknowledgement or mail or something like that. I know things are already hectic for u dear, but this was just an opinion to reduce ur burden or have i increased it for u??

Lata, no doubt it will be difficult for you to remember the kolams which got published as even the senders are not able to remember which one has been uploaded by them. If members create a folder to save the sent kolams in their system as soon as they upload, then there will be no confusion:)

I agree with brindha.I do as she said.At once I upload a kolam ,I save it as sent kolam.Remaining kolams are save to be upload or for ikolams.

What i thought to suggest is already suggested by Pushpa mam. I too have posted some kolams, but it was not published, so i thought i have not uploaded correctly and again i uploaded the kolam. Means twice i uploaded same kolams. After that it got published. If we have provision to save our kolams in "My Account" or a tag like "Sent Items, we can view what and all uploaded by us. I too know it is a hectic job, but still a suggestion.

I really don't have the time to add more code to our software. Besides, I had promised to bring the Gallery and our menu to a better shape, and I'm late to even start that by an year or so! I feel so terrible

oh lata mam! sorry for the trouble i caused you. first I uploaded three 15 x 1 dotted kolams. last week when i browsed the website, I noticed the first and third one got published, and I assumed that the second one has not been properly uploaded. that's why I uploaded again. sorry for the trouble mam. I will follow your instructions hereafter.

Lata if u r allotting me extra points then today as my net went off i have send the metal basket painting -3 once again thinking the first time it has not uploaded. Pl. delete it if i have sent it twice and give me that extra grace points... ah ah aha.
