March 8 is International Women's Day

March 8 is International Women's Day (also Mother's Day in some parts of the world)

Here is a pattern to celebrate the IWD. It is made up of a motif that has women holding hands in a circle. There is another reason to choose this. Since people on this forum like puzzles, please solve it. It is quite easy for doctors to solve it Smile

Thanks for quite a different pattern mOhanaji.
For me it looks like Ovarian follicle and the red like zygotes. I'm trying hard to spot XX, couldn't trace it. Sorry mOhanaji, if I'm gone too far from the topic Smile

Put on your thinking cap and think quick brain, before any of the doctors post their answers...just pick one from the list of hormones that has to do with females or the mushy stuff and throw it out there. Hmmm, which ones to pick; oxytocin, dopamine, estrogen, progesterone? Or, just run a search on some portion that has two molecules of Oxygen. No brain, the better option is to call up a friend with a chemistry background. Or wait for a few hours and give a call to aaru. :0
The ladies in pink look nice and slim. Would like to know more about their diet and exercise regimen. Smile

Is this xx chromosomes ?

rajamma_2's picture

Like Rani, I also prefer the doctors to solve this puzzle.
This beautiful design reminds me of my rangoli put 2 years back with women holding their hands

Yes , the pair of ladies, their hands and legs represent double x(XX)chromosomes and if we see the picture minutely it also represent the female sign

ashanagendra's picture

oh! then am i right?i answered the question with a question mark..that was not right :)thanks Dr Rekha.
now waiting for Mohanaji's answer Wink

Dr.Rekha Shetty's picture

Rao sir as mentio;ned earlier there are four female signs(big circle and the red representing cross).Along with the lots of XX chromosomes represented by the hands and legs of paired small ladies(holding their hands).

Lata's picture

Oh my, hope it is not as simple as that! We can see the double xx all over and the female signs too, but, I didn't want to mention it since chromosome symbols like xx and xy are even recognized by upper middle and high school students! :0

I was thinking on a slightly higher level especially since there was a mention of 'doctor' in the description part of the puzzle. Smile

Nice design JKM Sir.

Oh, I'm on the wrong path Smile

Dr.Rekha Shetty's picture

Lata, even I thought of chemical structure formed with the pair of ladies. I n the center there is hexagon (which is a main structure of progesterone or any hormone )but here it has connected to square .If this square would have been pentagon or hexagon then it would have been little closer structure .This picture may represent four ovum or egg during fertilization?in addition to my earlier guess

Lata's picture

Yes, I noticed that the hexagon part of the structure(s) is not represented but thought may be it is implied. Smile
However, I'm sure he is not looking for the female symbol as part of the answer here, since some of his previous work included that already. Smile

Looks like all of u friends's harddisks r in an impeccable condition...hahaha...remembering so many things...

Dr.Rekha Shetty's picture

Lata, with hands of small ladies in the pair rao sir has created the "W" and with legs of the smll ladies he made "M".So he has mentioned both women's and mother's day along with the XX cromosome and women's sign

Dr.Rekha Shetty's picture

Thoug non medical - four big "W" and four big "M"with red marks(points) in each corner of the center" v" of w and M

Dr.Rekha Shetty's picture

is it vicious cycle of women to mother ?

umaraja's picture

happy women holding hands, mmmm then something like chromosomes, w shaped figures etc

Dr.Rekha Shetty's picture

Final in addition to the earlier guess though not direct, four sets of -two ovaries covered with a fallopian tube, in the center uterus

Nice pattern, JKM Sir. You are keeping everyone busy with your puzzle:) For me, the overall design looks like the division of zygote and each circle looks like an egg and the surrounding female patterns like sperms surrounding the egg. we are eagerly waiting for the right answer, Sir.

Dr.Rekha Shetty's picture

Lata ,please get the right answer from rao sir before the end of women's day.i mean day not night ,so that i can sleep araamse

I think many people solved this. The brownish-red circle is the earth and the blue background is the sky. Actually the American Indian symbol for the woman is a dot over an X. I introduced a little square in the middle of X and I made the dot into an oval to give the appearance of a woman. Actually XX with dots over them represent sisters in the American Indian lore (X under X represents mother and daughter). As everyone is familiar, two X's together represent the woman's X chromosomes too. With this I assembled the rest and filled with colours. The rest is a matter of coincidental interpretation.

So vinci ,asha we have guessed the right answer in our first guess itself.Cngratulation to u and me .Ammu hamne to guess karliya .Lekin kamal ki bath to yaha hai ke aapne be hamare quiz(women's day quiz) ke sahi javab pahelehi try me diya.Apko bahut bahut mubark ho .congratulation .
