Thank you Sumathi! thank you for visiting (had been a while):)
I'd missed your visits and your comments! I spent some time in your gallery yesterday enjoying all of your creations! I still go through my old box of greeting cards whenever I miss my old friends or even family members

Thank you Madam for your sweet comment! The orange flower is "Bird of Paradise", one of my favorites too! (It is a perennial shrub). I've been reading your comments, and couldn't help laughing...you've a great sense of humor

Only today I could see the animation! It is quite good.
If you could make the dots closer st the sides and broader at the centre,
then you could get a three dimensional effect for the vase. The lines also
could be thicker at the centre and thinner at the edges if at all possible.
These are easily said than done. I know each suggestion has a technical
problem that would take time which is precious

I'm glad you could see the animation Sir! It had been a frustrating problem for us for a while. I'll keep the specifications you've suggested in my mind when I make the changes in the next version of the same kolam. You've also guessed it right that the changes would take time. But, you know what they (the Japanese) say about taking the shortest route

i have been searching for this particular kolam for the last week lata as i could not view it due to the problem you mentioned - at last i found it.....
and i too love the "Bird of Paradise" a lot - there is another inverted flower from the same family, a darker orange with red - dont know its biological name but i call it "Crabs claw"...
fantastic work - the drop shadow, bevel and emboss - ok i can see u have used all the tools to highlight every part of this kolam - too good....... hope i become an expert in kolam animation like you one day... must ask anita to teach me soon...

Lakshmi, you can rob anything any time:)
I'm surprised to find out that you weren't able to view the animation too, mainly because you were one of the premium members, and I always came to know quickly if there were any problems, (ie if there were any at all).
And, this kolam is almost 3yrs old
The display problems with the flash player 10 had been there only for 3-4 months and they were intermittent.

It is an indian dotted kolam. I only added the flowers, because it looked like a vase to me, so didn't want to leave it empty.
What about the Ratham kolam? Do you remember if the animation worked?

they look very beautiful, and so fresh, fresher and more bright than what we'd find in California in this winter weather. They should be in the site before Monday!

I've been asked a lot more than what you're asking me Priya, including questions like what do I look like. So, go ahead disturb me more!

I don't work full time anywhere (I left my full time job a few years ago, since I didn't see it as creative enough for me, at that time). I freelance doing independant projects in web development. And thursdays are not holidays for me, on Wednesdays and Thursdays, I've deadlines to meet usually (most of the times from my home office). So, I can't afford to work on ikolam on thursdays, except for occasional checking in. But I find that my whole lifestyle is getting a bit too stressful for me now, since we also have to be responsible parents!
I'm glad you're enjoying your visits to ikolam, and thank you so much for your kind words, you made my Friday!
Now, its my turn to disturb you! What is it that you like to or enjoy creating?
It is your turn to SHOW US what you've got!
