and mine look very similar. This I did in Pongal 2006.
This was done by my neighbor on the occasion of pongal.. and it is an art , not like dots kolam. Thought of sharing with you, and add to my gallery

hi to all, i used color powder + kolappoddi (which is in market)i did for pongal rangoli competition (in my area) i got 1st prize too, i like to share this with u all.
NOTE:
for brightness & perfect look, add table salt or beach sand mix it with color powder, make it dry for 3 to 4 hours
