Yes indeed a very good idea to make a kavi background and top it with a pretty white chikku kolam with cute extra fitting borders too.. The flow of this kolam shows your experience Kameshwari :)

Rajammaji, the kavi tharai (I think the background) is not a permanent one. I arranged temple scene on rangoli. After removing kolu scene we can clean it with wet cloth. In Andhra it is called jaju.
