the centre design is very cute. The semicircles around the squares are like dancing hoola hoops(!). The red round lights say 'Stop ,see and proceed'? On the whole a bright padikolam. rajamma

Very beautiful! Looks like the lamps are your favorite elements to use in almost all of your padi kolams. :) I am wondering about the tiny hole we see at the center of the red semicircles. :)

Thanks everybody! latAjI, your statement was echoed by another person also yesterday! I equate light with god :-) Your observation is certainly keen! When a circle is made in powerpoint, initially you get the outline with small open circles which will vanish when the mouse is clicked. I deliberately kept them so that I can crop and get exact semicircles. That is why you see these small holes throughout. I know how to avoid them next time and yet get exact semicircles :-) rAjammAjI, the central design is a thumbnail version of one of my earlier rangOlis ( http://ikolam.com/node/6307?p=1930). Good to see your padikolam after a long time JKM - I love the cute flower in the centre... Can we see a bigger version of that flower please?? Like Lata said I too thought of the same thing as you use these tiny lamps in most of your creations - thanks for the explanation :)
