You're right Judy, the shape of the roses is unusual, and unique. It looks as if it is ready to open up. The rolled-up stroke at the top of each rose adds some depth to the flower, making it more realistic. :)

Quite beautiful! The outer cube-like design with the spiral reminds me of old fashioned coal stove, may be for pongal :-)
