Margazhi kolams

Margazhi Season, from mid-December to mid-January, is one of India’s most vibrant times of the year. Women wake up at dawn and adorn their entrances with colorful kolams which represent the richness and regality of Margazhi season. The vibrance of the Margazhi kolams adds life to the ambience of Southern India, an ambience of divinity, joy, and serenity. Creating kolams in Margazhi, is like painting the dew drops on the ground!
