Mandans style rangoli
while I was in search of Mandana style rangolis,I saw this design under the title"Pray for Non-violence".I liked the design and title,so I decided to make.pl read the following about this rangoli.
The artist has created a series with his ethereal expressions of emotions related to a peaceful, non-violent philosophy through his famous signature mandana. This series of designs, playing only with the simple lines and specially created for the ‘Eternal Gandhi’ Project, an initiative of the Aditya Birla group.
An artist tribute to Mahatma… Jain has created a series of paintings with the theme ‘Pray for non-violence’, using the Mandana art form, to depict Mahatma Gandhi’s philosophy. -The Hindu, Oct 01, 2005.
Though I was not satisfied with the result.I did many times .but the result end-up like this .due to my ache in fingers,I gave up my try as it was. How ever my drawing, the design and the concept is really good.Hope you like this.

What a surprise! After my Ganesha mandana on the door, I too had started on the same "non violence" design by the same artist. But something came up, and I couldn't finish the design yet. This has come out beautiful in photoshop.
I'll be uploading mine in two days.
