Looks like the paintings on temple roofs. The pink shade, and the meroon lines add get up to the kolam. When I saw the small picture, I thought it is an entry for the drum roll audition. Keep giving feast to our eyes.

I simply love this
With minimal colours, maximum effect!
The only suggestion I have is - the outer tendrils (four in one unit) all run in
clockwise direction. If neigbouring units have opposite directions, that also
would have given the impression of a lotus like the ones they border.

Lakshmi, Excellent !!!! Every day i think "this is the most beautiful kolam,", but next day i will change my opinion, i will think "this is the most beautiful kolam"
Daily u create a new one and that also more beautiful than the previous one. so i cannot judge which is ur best rangoli. ....
?But i love all ur kolams.

but this is the master piece in kolam. i like the lotus very much.
