yes ammuji, they are different even though both are done using paper. In origami there is no paper cutting, its done by folding square piece of paper.
Ammu mam...Anirudh has explained it very well. Ori = Fold, Kiri = Fold and cut.
Do you know, this is a very nice way of studying symmetry. My friend Jarek (now in Poland) used to this quite often.
