Centre design if it had 12 outer petals denoting 12 months it will be ok, why 13? Outer sun designs riding on 7 horses is apt and nice. while doing this kolam u did Suryanamaskaaram also? Good!

Nice imagination Indu. The Kolam is about SUryanamaskaram and it seems to follow Lunar calendar as we can see 13 petals in the form of rays in the central part (adhika mAsa - mOhanA ji !). We can see 7 days of the week in the border half suryas.
