Nice & beautiful strokes ...all the best

jkmrao's picture

Though a familiar motif, still nice to see. The strokes are easy and effortless. Some more red clay would have enhanced the beauty. Photographing this at some other time of the day could also have improved the looks. At the moment, the northeastern portion could be barely seen.

If you enjoy in what you do, you are certainly a winner
If you excel in your efforts, you are certainly a winner
Good luck!

Looks elegant! Could've used some colors, since this pattern has some room inside the closed shapes. Smile

nice.you would have given some colours.

Very neatly drawn - good strokes... Some colours would have done the trick... All the best Smile

simple & neat...missing colors....draw the top border after completing the main rangoli, so that it can be matched appropriately to get decorations at the center.

Neat work , why didn't you fill it with colours?

Beautiful dotted kolam
The drawing is neat and clean, Diyas in different shapes looking are very attractive. Why you didnot color this kolam? Just left it to our imagination?
Anyhow nice presentation. Poto could have been taken avoiding the sun's glare.

its really nice,.... i still can't get the proper way of drawing it....when i put the rice flower it doesnt come so straight,
is there any method Biggrin or advice any one...

Lata's picture

Ms.Laskshmi2, I do have a suggestion; try using the standard rangoli powder instead of using rice flour. If the consistency of the flour is that of fine flour (smooth to the touch), the lines most likely are not going to be continuous. The rangoli powder has a coarser texture, and is easy to "draw" with. Ofcourse, practicing helps too. In no time, you would be making beautiful rangolis with straight as well as curvy lines Smile
