Nice colour combination. Can anybody explain me, what is or what type of kolam is Sanskar Bharti kolam and why is it called so? Please... I want to learn.

Brinda, you can click on the "Sanskar Bharathi" tag seen with this rangoli, and that should give you other samples to look at. A quick explanation; rangoli powder is spread on the floor as a base (mostly with a sieve), and white stokes are drawn on top of it (with a funnel/tube or even by hand). Lets hope we hear more from our Sanskar Bharathi experts. :) -Lata

Like Vinci said I too have seen most of Sanskar Bharathi kolams in a circular form only - this one looks different and unique - beautiful spread of colours and well attempted :)

wonderful Sanskar Bharathi rangoli. I think it is origated from Maharashtra stae. Lata, of late I see so many new new types of wonderful creations from new members. I am very happy to see ikolam growing on all sides. rajamma
