Sudha, in chikku kolam if the dots are kept neatly and symmetrically, 50% job is over. Then putting the design properly with out any chikkal is the challenging job. You have done both correctly and achieved the desired effect. well done. next time concentrate on the thickness of the ezhai to be even everywhere.

Sudha, romaba azhagaa irukku. 1st trialnnu chollithaan theriyuthu. When I saw this and my kolam next to next in the thumbnails, I thought it is the same done in podi. Kalakkunga.

Sudha I think you have done a wise thing by chosing this as your first chikku kolam as the design is actually quite easy to follow. Each line begins and ends at the same point so you don't get confused. Very good job for a first attempt but for the small thadangals (in strokes) here and there. That can be taken care of next time I am sure. Well done :)
nice sikku on the first try Sudha...looks great...yeah strokes if you had overwritten may be could have been even all over :) ....hmm i think i have a close matching motif in one of the sikku border ...may be i need to try connecting those motifs to make bigger ones like this....thanks for sharing
You have completed Sikku kolam without sikal. You have got the steady flow of lines and curves which in well seen in your kolam.. Got more to upload??
