Next time please see that the number of petals and and external free petals are same in number.That wii enhance the symmetry of the kolam.

Glad you have made your first kolam and I am sure you will not stop making more and more kolams for us to enjoy. Seeing this matchstick style I am reminded of Rasiga who did aishwarya kolam in the same style at the meet last weekend :)
