Since morning I've been thinking about a familiar shape that I was reminded of, when ever I looked at this kolam. I'm glad I got the name of the object before the day ended. To me, the tiny purple flowers look like Calotropis buds (in closed form). I think we call it Erukkam poo in tamizh? Hope I'm right. This is what Pillaiyaar likes too, isn't it?
