Vasanthi cute vilakku kolam dear... Try making the batter more thin, it is slightly thick. It should flow freely. Keep drawing few lines again and again till u r comfortably able to make lines. As i told u, it should be like thick milk. I am happy ur trying out maakolams dear. Here is the link to my first attempt at maakolam, (http://www.ikolam.com/node/7056?p=3147) god it was such a disaster but with positive comments and encouragement from Ikolam members i was able to do maakolams with ease now. Here u will find few more tips from Rajamma maam and other members. Hope this helps u dear.

Pretty kolam, Vasanthi. The very small dots around the flames look cute. Were they also done with wet maavu? -Sindhuja
