This is called krishna palaavali. The fruits, snacks which are made are hung above the thottil as though the baby can enjoy them in the cradle

Nice to see this decoration after a long time...i used to see similar kind in one of my Iyengar friend's house...they had a big woodden cradle on stand with frame on the top to tie all the fruits, sweets, savories and place baby krishna idol in the cradle. thanks for sharing.
