Margazhi Kolam contest 2008

Margazhi Season, from mid-December to mid-January, is one of India’s most vibrant times of the year. Women wake up at dawn and adorn their entrances with colorful kolams which represent the richness and regality of Margazhi season. The vibrance of the Margazhi kolams adds life to the ambience of Southern India, an ambience of divinity, joy, and serenity.

An update!
Dear friends/kolam contest participants,

We've a problem. Some of you haven't used the given title for the kolams that might've been uploaded for the kolam contest. Without the proper title, it is becoming harder to distinguish between regular kolams to be uploaded in the site, and the ones meant for the dotted-kolam contest. If you've used words like "contest" in the title while submitting the entry, then it is fine, but if you've used words like "margazhi", or "kolam", it does not indicate that those are meant for the contest. I've contacted some of you through emails and have received the responses. Please email me your user_id and your names, if you think you don't remember what title you've used or if you just aren't sure. We don't want to disappoint anyone Smile
Thank you.
